While we're always looking for new ways to make more money and find debt relief  we may be ignoring one of the biggest cash cows for the debt-strapped; the very 4 walls of the homes we live in! If you own your home you should always be thinking of this investment as a work in progress.
Here are 10 different ways to increase the value of your home right now. Increase the value of your home, and put it up in the market!

Bolster Your Kitchen:
Kitchens and bathrooms are the best places to put your money when you invest in your home. Families spend more time in the kitchen than any other place – and this is particularly true if your kitchen has a television somewhere. Updating the kitchen can be a big-bucks decision, but it doesn't have to be. Adding new cabinet hardware is an inexpensive way to upgrade. New countertops are another. (Yes, those are more expensive.) If you are DIY kind of homeowner, adding a new tile or hardwood floor is another option.

Upgrade Your Bath:
If you only have one full bathroom and you want to add value to your home, it never hurts to upgrade a half bath to a whole. Like they say there is no such thing as too many bathrooms.

 New hardware:
Door knobs aren't good looking, but new ones always make a house shine. The key here is to understand that whatever you pick is worth the investment – and it is an investment. Don't just replace one or two doorknobs. Replace them all. Overall, this is a very inexpensive way to modernize your home.

Master Your Master Suite:
Many homes may not have a proper master suite. If you have a room you’re using as a master but you don’t feel as though it’s up to snuff you can blow out walls, connect the en-suite bathroom, and elevate the ceiling or even put in skylights to make your master suite your own.

Window Instillation:
Another tactic to increasing the value of your home is to upgrade your windows and make them all energy efficient. Not only will newer quality windows make your home worth more but they will also decrease the amount you spend on heating and cooling making their value even greater.

Basement Touch Up:
If you have an unfinished basement and you’re looking to add value to your home, why not take a cue with that? Finishing your basement by insulating and laying down flooring can add a whole new wing of your home and increase your finished square footage which is a major reason for increase home value.

New Roof:
Just like windows, making the roofing in your home newer is a great route to making your home value rise. Of course a new roof may uncover greater issues which could plunge you further into debt but it’s better to find out these things now than when you’re trying to sell your home and issues are pointed out to you by a buyer’s home inspector. And if a new roof adds to your debt, debt settlement might be a great option.

Landscaping:
If you think all the value in your home only comes from in your home, you’re crazy! If you have a ripped up old yard with all manner of weeds and ingrowth happening, really taking some time and finishing the landscaping can be a real benefit. Even if your yards just “okay” upgrading your landscaping is a great way to make your home value rise.

Paint:
One of the biggest detractors for home value is chipped or un-painted portions of walls. If you have gone around and neglected the paint on your walls, breaking out some cans and brushes is a sure-fire way to make your home value instantly rise.

Siding:
This may not be an easy job but if you replace the neglected siding of your home you will add immediate value to your property. With benefit of curb appeal and actual function, siding is a great end to increased home value.

Make Money:

Now once your home becomes valuable and looks brand new after all these edits, many people will start to glance at your upgraded home. If you have an alternative place to stay then you should definitely put it up on the market. If you want a good monthly or yearly income, then put it up for rental purposes, with a good price tag with it! Or if you want instant money fast then you can sell it at a good rate. Luxury houses cost much much more than simple ones. If your home also has a good location ( on the main street, near a market or mall, or has good utilites ) then it will sell for even more!
